In order to mark the official opening of its new boat sales office at Portishead Quays Marina, Tingdene Boat Sales, in partnership with Quay Marinas, is holding an open weekend on 13-14 August.
The Open Weekend is a great opportunity for families to visit to learn more about boating from Tingdene’s local expert and qualified Yachtmaster Jason Rowles, who is very familiar with the waters of the Bristol Channel and is well known in the region. Local RYA Training Centre Compass Sea School will be attending both days to explain how to get afloat on all types of boats, large and small and the RNLI Portishead station will also be present on the Saturday to provide safety on the water advice.
The former Royal Navy fleet tender The Pride of Bristol will lock into the Portishead Quays at 5pm Saturday and be available for public viewings on the Sunday. There will be live music both days from 2pm-4pm.
Tingdene Boat Sales will also have a wide range of motorboats and sailing yachts on display for public to view, new and pre-owned. One highlight will be the brand new futuristic and innovative Bavaria E40 motor yacht that is stopping at Portishead Quays Marina on its European premier tour. It will be joined by the Bavaria S36 sports cruiser and the Bavaria Cruiser 33 sailing yacht. British boatbuilder Broom Boats will also be showing examples of its range of boats, including the Broom 35 Coupe and Broom 395. Tingdene Boat Sales will also be showing an Antaris Sixty6 sloop, a perfect little towable diesel powered open deck boat for use on a wide range of waters.
Portishead Quays Marina berthholders attending the event will be offered complementary Southampton Boat Show tickets and free refreshments.
Admission is free and the event runs from 10am-4pm on the Saturday and Sunday, 13-14 August 2016.
